I like the book so far. I think I like it because I can relate to Billy. Billly likes to go around exploring stuff and so do I, and he loved dogs and I also love dogs. I also like this book because there is never a boring moment, anything can happen in this book and so much happens in so little time. Wilson Rawls is a very creative writer and im interested in this book. I would even reccomend this book for other people to read.

I like this book because he writes it to where you can picture it in your mind. I also liked The Giver but this is my favorite. I can relate to wanting a dog. I like how both dogs have different personalities one is the smart dog and the other is the tough dog.

I keep forgeting that almost the entire book is a flashback! I do like it though. I kinda feel sorry for the animals Billy's been hunting. The racoons are trying their best, but just can't outsmart the dogs. :(

I think this book is really good because it had a meaning and was well thought out. It was also, in my opinion, more interesting than the giver was. Though the giver WAS a good book you just couldnt understand it as well as you could with Where The Red Fern Grows. Soe of it may not of been interesting in some parts but overall it was good, and again this is my opinion.

I think it's easier for us to relate to and understand "Where te Red Fern Grows" because the setting is more familiar to us. The Giver had characters that grew up in a different world than we live in and that gave the story a feeling of detachment.
